Minutes from July 2007
Meeting
called to order by Base Cdr. Singleman at 1902. Invocation by Vice Commander
Fritz Feldhaus. Tolling of the boats for the month of June. Each member stood
and introduced themselves and the boats served on. WWII Veterans Ray Koch and
Vito DeLeonardis were recognized. A motion was made to accept the May minutes
and it was seconded by Fritz Feldhaus.

Update
501-3(c) has been received by Federal Government; approval takes +/- 60
days.
Insurance: Fred Miller was attempting to obtain information from the NY
State Insurance Commission regarding liability insurance. Also Ray Koch, Jr. was
searching to obtain same.
A new presentation was given to Ken Green, which would also end up with
Lew Benton who is very knowledgeable about Saratoga Springs/Saratoga County as
he has been on the planning board for years.
Cdr. Singleman is on a hunt for a “scope” which may be available in
the near future.

Business
Picnic August 25th-
There will be a short meeting at the picnic which will be our Aug. meeting.
August 5th will be the Turning Point Parade in Schuylerville
August
18th will be the Ballston Spa Parade. Formation at 1100 with step off
at 1200.
New
Member/New Business
Don Amorosi – Don is
affiliated with the Northeast POW/MIA Network and is also involved with the Paul
Newman’s Double H Ranch in
Lake
Luzerne
. Additionally Don has ordered two dozen Ball Caps for the KAPPSS 4 KIDSS. These
caps are for the children who have suffered hair loss as a result of chemo or
radiation treatments or any other cause.
As previously mentioned,
The
August meeting will be held at the picnic and notification will be given for the
Sept. meeting.
There
was no further business and the meeting was adjourned at 1920 at which time Ray
Misiewicz commenced his presentation Subs and the North Pole”. Another very
informative presentation which was well received by all. Thanks again Ray.
